One of the most anticipated anime conventions in the Philippines is now on its 9th year!

Buckle up because this year, the biggest, the brightest, and the most awaited Japanese artists and cosplayers will visit the Best of Anime 2018! Jam-packed with excellent activities and amazing surprises, the event is something that you don’t want to miss! The Best of Anime 2018 is on August 25 – 26, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

This year, The Best of Anime stage will be graced by sought-after cosplayers Hyko (Taiwan), Onnies (Thailand), and Mon (Taiwan) and rocking the convention stage will be J-pop idol group Starmarie, Visual Kei band An Cafe, digital rock singer Valshe and music producer Kors K!

Currently, in the number 3 spot of the WorldCosplay.com, Hyko has captivated the world with her undaunted charisma. She is known for portraying famous personalities and anime characters like singer Gackt, Ren Jinguji of Uta no Prince-sama, and Kogetsunemaru of Touken Ranbu. It will be her first time coming to Manila.

Like Hyko, another newbie in the Philippines is Mon. This Taiwanese cosplayer exudes both charm and charisma! With her talent in make-up, she can quickly transform from one character to another. Mon became known in the cosplay world with her portrayal of Diamond from Land of the Lustrous, Rem and Emilia of Re:Zero and Tsuyu from My Hero Academia.

Coming back to the Best of Anime Stage is one of the most popular Thai cosplayer, Onnies. Famous for her characterization of Eli Ayase of LoveLive! and Misa of Death Note, Onnies has a lot in stored for this year’s convention.

Self-produced idol group, Aidoru Sozai, will perform live at the Best of Anime 2018. Jash, Aira, Vivi, Yanachii, Mikachu, Hayayan and Saachan are aspiring indie idols, preparing their original self-made tracks to perform onstage. The members come together to work towards a common goal spreading love, positive energy, and the beauty of idol culture through their shining performances.

Jpop lolita idol group STARMARIE will retake the Best of Anime stage. Composed of Nozomi, Shino, Monya, Hiroka and Kaede, STARMARIE continues to rise to fame with their song, “Natsuninare!”, the ending theme song of the anime series “Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Next”.

Another act that will bring the party to the convention stage is Kors K. This brilliant musician rose to fame when he participated in the hit music game “Beatmania”. Now, Kors K is known as a music producer, artist, and DJ. Since then, he has contributed to multiple anime-related songs, J-Pop remixes, and has released through both domestic Japanese labels as well as numerous International labels, totaling over 500 tracks released since he started creating music.

The much anticipated Ongaku Fest of The Best of Anime brings not just one but two back to back acts! An Cafe and Valshe will share the stage to give you the exciting experience ever!

An Cafe skyrocketed to fame with their unique sound and exciting performances! Famous for singing the second opening song of Darker than Black Season 1, Kakusei Heroism ~The Hero without a Name~, watch Miku, Kanon, Teruki, Takuya and Yu-ki as they bring you to a world of
music and style.

On the other hand, Valshe, is a digital rock singer and is well known as a “Ryouseirui” (“both voice types”), as she is capable of singing both male and female voice. She has sung Butterly Core, the 37th opening theme song of Detective Conan and Kimi e no Uso, 49th ending theme song of the same anime.
