More than a shopping destination, Shang takes pride as an art hub in the metro, providing a venue for Filipino talents to showcase their stunning masterpieces.

If you like spending time in a room filled with artworks, then the Ateneo Art Awards exhibit is the perfect fair for you! Recognized as “the most prestigious prize for an emerging artist in the Philippines,” the Ateneo Art Awards acknowledges Philippine contemporary art, up-and-coming local artists, and critics. This year, catch all of the shortlisted artists and writers’ works hanging on the walls of Shang’s Grand Atrium from July 17 to 29.

Avid supporters of our local arts and culture should make sure to drop by the Saturday Group of Artists’ 50th year Exhibit from July 19 to 31 at the East Atrium. A celebration of 50 golden years of collaboration and friendship, the exhibit features the paintings of its current members as well as masterpieces from its founding members.

It goes without a saying that Shang is an art haven that cradles the vibrant Philippine arts and culture scene. Aside from the two main events, mall guests can get their culture fix by viewing the new treasures such as the Art Circle, Art Venue, Artistre, The Artologist, Banggerahan, Galerie Raphael, The New Gallery, Summit Art Gallery, and The Vintage Shop displayed at the Shang’s Art Plaza.

Another new gallery that’s bound to turn heads and draw artistically inclined souls is the Gallery Stephanie located at the East Wing.

After a gratifying walk through Shang’s artistic side, mall guests can take a break at the many dining options offering a wide variety of cuisines from around the world—which is also a culture thing!

Whether you’re an art enthusiast, a shopaholic or an inveterate foodie, the Shang—as the country’s premier lifestyle mall—indulges your pursuit of the best of Philippine art and culture.
